NOTE: I'm a noobie. If some of this is obvious, that's why I don't know.

My issue: I'm trying to convert Pure Water (from FE7) into a weapon. I've set everything to a weapon setting. It displays the stats when highlighted, but it's like a null item. No use, no equip, not usable to attack with. I used Nightmare with FE7 Modules, using the Item Editor. Everything seems okay, since I changed Wil to a Shaman. But he can still only attack with Flux. Which stinks right now..

When you say Wil can only use Flux, you mean he only has a D level dark magic rank? If so, just character edit that and fix it up.

You can't really edit weapons into items and vice-versa. Definitely not weapons into items, but items into weapons won't work much either. There are some other factors besides the ones in the Item Editor that interfere with stuff like that. It gets really complex and I (and probably not anyone else on this forum) can really do it.

In short: what you're trying to do is impossible with Nightmare.

I don't see why you weren't able to change the Pure Water into a weapon. I remember changing the Vulnerary into a sword way back in the day for DoT. Just need to make sure that the item type is a weapon. I don't see why Pure Water would be any different.

Items should be able to be converted into weapons. But going the other way, as Blazer stated, is going to cause problems.

I have changed items into weapons, but weapons to items? That's a whole new ball game. Sorry.
