[Fire Blazer]

Any ideas for a creative hack? It doesn't have to be very specific, I just want to see what ideas a person might have for a fanmade game.

For instance, a Final Fantasy & Fire Emblem crossover.

Doesn't have to be realistic or feasible either

well, it'd be interesting.

One thing an FE game doesn't seem to do is revisit the same places much. I know in FE8 Eirika "revisits" Renais and the Ostia map is shown twice IIRC but yeah... nothing significant... a lot of RPGs have things where battles take place at the same place at different times...

FE has some revisiting places. You're not giving it enough credit.

RD has a lot of revisiting from PoR, though it's pretty crazy sometimes: Oliver's mansion is kinda similar, but Daein Keep is way different in the 2 games. The Bridge is pretty much the same (excluding traps) though, which is good. There's also map I think is the same or mostly the smae in both FE6 and FE7, and in FE8 the Ch. 5x Renval and Ch. 8 Renval are partly the same in a few areas (you could pretty much put them together as 1 big map sort of). Also, FE4 has the place where each chapter ends be that area where the next chapter starts (there's a couple of exceptions though) and you revisit some places between Generations.

When I say revisit I mean go to the same place and have a battle or significant event in that place within the same game.

Obviously there's going to be SOME revisiting in the sequel of a game. D:

A 10 chapter game of the eight legendary people in FE7 during the dragon ages could be a possible idea, or a hack about Greil's overall life as a mercenary. Another idea is where you have to take over all the countries surrounding you.

@Bloodfalcon it's 8 legendary people in FE7, and the idea you mentioned has already been thought of plenty.

I don't really think there is much to say about Greil's overall life. I think that we have had enough insight on Greil's past and doing anymore just wouldn't work, but maybe that's just me. I think it's a shame we could never really use Greil but it can't be helped much, it's to develop the story in FE9 and FE10.

The Genderbending of Fire Emblem 7? Or the game of your preference? Then just sorta run with it. Of course, it isn't terribly creative.

Alternatively, you could do something with Ilia. That country is pretty well neglected.

My Ideas were extremely generic, as to better prompt your limitless creativity.

Maybe there's a power dispute in Ilia as well, and the protagonist's house is a victim (think an expanded...Laus was it?)? Maybe a new leader in the county is an expansionist dick? Maybe the protagonist embarks on an epic quest to stop the pope from letting Ilian priests touch kids? The power is yours!

Idk, the idea of a pope is bleh.

So are the ideas of "expansionist" people, it's been done too many times. Almost all wars are about conquest or expansion...

Perhaps a short, quick, humorous one (10 chapters maybe) called Fire Emblem: Attack of the Spritely old Men.

Or various other comedic names like:
Fire Emblem and the Extraordinarily Tedious Shopping Trip
Fire Emblem: Return of the not-so-well-known Sub-Villain of a not-well-known Video Game released only in a foreign language
Fire emblem: The Time of not quite so dark Darkness
Fire Emblem: The Item of Vague Importance
Fire Emblem: etc. etc.

Maybe. Maybe not, but it is an idea.

So the point of the hack would be to have a stupid theme to ti that might make a few people laugh?

I think the idea is lulzier than the game would ever be

I've wanted to make a FE6-8 crossover hack for a while now. I don't know if it's been done already though. Basically it would combine the main characters of all three games. (Eirika, Ephraim, Lyn, Hector, Eliwood, Roy, and Lilina.), as well as some others. The pivotal character which brings all three sets of characters together would be Anna, naturally, since she was in all three. It would be a comedic hack. I'm sort of working on it already, but I don't know if it's a good idea for a patch or not.

I would say, if it is humorous, I am in. IMHO we lack enough comedy hacks(And no, I am in the pack of people who don't like Gheb's saga's humor, so. >__<)

I say, if you think your hack will have a competitive edge against all there is around here, do release it.
