so I get multiple e-mails and texts saying I "leave" for a half a day and the forum went to hell or something

the forum survives if you guys make it

if you guys are going to be chumps and try to throw it down the toilet

I will gracefully archive it myself before that happens

If you guys don't behave yourselves, I -will- shut down the forums. I have a large history with these forums. If they go down, they go down with some dignity.

I realize the mainsite is down too. I've been working on trying to repair it. Granted I've been out for about 16 hours today and walked about 10 miles (and even if I run track I'm NOT Arim's Mom) so as Ryoku said I don't have time

My actual life is going down the drain due to time I've been spending on this, TLP, and socializing with online friends. it's not that I don't like you guys but ultimately if my life gets ****ed up, you guys won't be able to help me there. I have to help myself. I don't have any people to really support me. I've more or less always been independent. If I fail my classes, that's on me. No one will help me. If I don't have money to buy the things I need, that's on me. If I get depressed because I start doubting the worth of my own existence, that's on me for not spending the time to give my life worth. I have friends and family but they don't really help me.

I almost got kicked out of college. It made me realize that I've had my priorities completely ****ed up. My parents don't know a thing, but I had to beg and plead and run around a campus I'm hardly familiar with at 7AM trying to save my skin.

Anyway, it's only the end if you guys let it be

If you guys want it to be, then be my guest. I know my priorities now. You can call it abandoning or whatever if it makes you feel better. I'm willing to pass on the torch to someone else, but I've been looking for months for someone qualified and no one fits the bill. The only people who -are- qualified are people like me: busy, and knowing their priorities (bblues, Seraphinox). Shu might be but I don't think he has time either, nor do I think he knows how to admin a forum using the admin cp. =|

I'm not coming back for a while. You can still e-mail me at smashfire17@gmail.com if you need to contact me, or you can ask Arim to contact me. I'll do whatever modding I can, but I don't have time to go figuring out drama situations and be fair like I always tried to do. Whoever's involved, is going to get warned or banned. It's just that simple. I won't be supplying this forum with tons of posts like I sometimes did in the past in order to keep it going. If it dies, it dies, and it's quite a shame, as the Fire Emblem Shrine is the second longest living Fire Emblem site I believe, if not the 3rd or 1st (I don't know when SF and FEPlanet were made, or if the latter is still alive, this was made sometime in late 2004 or so, I think...).

There's your official announcement. I'll see you guys "like normal" when I know my priorities are no longer in danger and when I have the free time to do this as a hobby, and not an obligation. To be honest, I want to shut the forum down right here and now, but I -did- spend a lot of my years on this, so if you guys can keep it going for a little longer, it'd be nice. =| If not, you know the option is there, and it's not hiding.

Understood, it's cool. Best of luck with everything, Blazer. I also need to get my priorities straight, so I might need to go on a hiatus myself as well. Nonetheless, I hope that things get sorted for you as soon as possible man. Peace, I know you can make it, so prove me right with the endurance and resilience that I know you have.

It's not easy creating a 40 chapter completely custom hack at all. In fact, you're the only one who's ever done it in all the years FE has existed. The fact that you can do it means you're a man among men, and I'm pretty damn certain that with your strength you can overcome damn near anything that comes your way.
