Ok so we've all noticed that besides Blazer, the staff haven't been all that active as of late. I mean I'm on several times a day and they only appear every once in a while. So I suggest a mod application topic that Blazer will start and judge. People applying would fill out a short simple form (I have one in mind from other forums) and Blazer would ultimately decide. If he chooses to do this I ask that no one be immature or petty about it (Saying "I should be a mod cuz I'm 1337" or "No way he'll/she'll be a better mod than me!") Personally I think the only requirement should be that you have been here a while and aren't that new. Someone whos been here and active for say a month or so, but in the end Blazer will decide the requirements.

So what do you guyz think? Yay or Nay?

To be honest, I don't think there's the need of a mod right now, and if there was going to be a new mod, Blazer could do it himself fine, without the need of a form. It's been pretty inactive, and will stay so until the summer, nothing much is happening, and Blazer's not really having many problems right now (as far as I can tell).

So for me, it's a no.

As bblues was saying, the forum has been pretty inactive and will stay so for a while, maybe even with summer vacation as well due to work, vacation (traveling I mean, without internet or maybe just horrible internet acces) and that stuff.

Normally I'd get a little upset that a normal member made a topic like this, but whatever.

I already have two moderators in mind and with a recent turn of events in addition to Felover's and Seraph's unfortunate inactivity, I'm definitely going to be making some changes. I'm pretty much the only moderator left right now, and even if the forums are inactive, I'm not satisfied.

Especially because I tend to have disappearances myself where I neglect the internet and start playing video games, watch anime, do real life work, focus on school, go on trips, etc. where I can miss out on FES for a few days. It's not a huge deal during times of inactivity but when there's no one to move topics, delete posts, or settle little fights, it's a problem.

Summer WILL get more activity. It always does. The best time to start a forum is in the summer. Period. People don't have school, bam, 9 hours more free time. Sure some people will go on trips but most people don't go on trips for more than 1 or 2 weeks during summer. Plus there will be lots of new people on the internet who have more free time. Of those 9 hours they'd normally spend at school they might spend it sleeping, doing summer camps, or maybe working on jobs or hobbies or something. Then they still have free time that they would normally spend doing homework--1 to 3 hours every day, usually, that they can use to go on the internet or play video games. Any other free time can also go to "having fun". :\

I'm not trying to sound like a know-it-all, sorry about that. But I have to know something to have a successful forum with a dying series as its emblem (pun intended) and have all the great members that are on the forum. XP Summer = activity. That's my point.

@Blazer I thought I had to have a mod/admin approval before posting here, or was that the announcements? Also I get what you're saying about the whole summer break thing, which I assume is coming up right? (I mean all schools are different with different schedules and all)

Here summer break generally starts mid June or something.

I don't see the need for a mod application topic, but we definitely need a new moderator, especially after very recent events (http://forums.feshrine.net/index.php?showtopic=2896 I resigned). That's why I voted yes. Blazer + remaining staff should decide who are best.

Yea I read over your topic and I gotta say you'll be missed. I don't care if some ppl thought you were "harsh", I mean being in a position of authority requires that from time to time. But good luck with all you do and I'll see you around I guess (if I'm on at the same time you're lurking lol)
